Sudan’s past and present converge in an intimate cinematic journey through memory, resistance, and belonging. Along a lyrical passage across remembrance and history, Beiti braids the intimate and collective identities of Sudan — from ancient queens to modern revolutionaries — capturing the beauty, violence, and resilience of a country fighting to preserve its soul.

Our experience is collective, now that we have lost all trace of our history because of this proxy war, we can only rely on the sharing of our memories to rebuild our past.
From now on, I rely on your memories to recover my own, as you rely on mine.
I want to tell an intimate story, while placing Sudan's geopolitical situation in its historical context. Through our images, our experiences, and our lived memory,
I hope to do justice to the complexity and beauty of our country and its polymorphous identities.
what we are seeking
We need your help in gathering the best iconography to tell this story. Below a short description of what we are looking for:

Mainly video footage, but photography and sound recordings are also welcome.

Home videos and personal recordings can range from intimate portraits to wedding videos, family reunions/celebrations, gatherings, random everday conversations & moments.

South-Sudanese submissions dating before the 2011 independance are very welcome.

All content submitted should include at least one of the following:
*Sudanese Women.
*Sudanese Geography and/or Landscape.
*Sudanese Fauna & Flora and/or Marine Life.
*Sudanese Archeology.
